Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!
Psalm 46:10 (NKJV)
In a world filled with noise, pressure, and constant motion, this verse calls us to a holy pause. To be still is more than physical quietness. It is a posture of the heart that chooses trust over striving. It is in stillness that we remember who God is, sovereign, faithful, and unshaken by the chaos around us. When we stop trying to control everything, we make room to rest in His power and presence.
Stillness also realigns our perspective. As we focus on God’s greatness rather than our worries, fear begins to loosen its grip. We are reminded that His purposes extend far beyond our immediate circumstances and that He is at work across the earth in ways we cannot always see. In quiet confidence before Him, our hearts are strengthened, our minds are calmed, and our faith is renewed.
