Sowing with Eternity in View

7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

These verses remind us that our daily choices are never neutral. Every thought we entertain, every habit we nurture, and every action we take is a seed placed into the soil of our lives. God’s design is consistent and just: what we cultivate over time shapes the harvest we eventually experience. This truth is not meant to instill fear, but wisdom, calling us to live with awareness and purpose.

Sowing to the Spirit means investing in what aligns with God’s life-giving presence—obedience, humility, prayer, truth, and love. While the results may not appear immediately, the harvest is certain and enduring. When we choose the Spirit over momentary gratification, we position our lives toward growth that does not fade, bearing fruit that reaches beyond the present and into eternity.
