When you are tired, your endurance is being tested.

If you are discouraged, don't give up without a fight. Nothing worthwhile ever happens without endurance and effort.

It comes from trusting in the Lord. He is the one who gives you the ability to rise above your temporary discouragement and to keep pressing forward.

Why does trusting God work? I am glad you asked. For starters,

your decision to ask God for help opens the door for the Holy Spirit to work in your life. Also trusting in God works because He's the only one who won't let you down.

When an artist creates a sculpture, he doesn't hit the chisel with the hammer once, and suddenly, all the excess stone falls away. He keeps hitting it and hitting it, slowly revealing a beautiful masterpiece.

That's true of life, too. Nothing worthwhile ever comes easy. But if you keep chiseling away at it, little by little your life becomes a masterpiece of YAH'S grace.
