Luke 22:61-62 — “And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had said to him, ‘Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.’ So Peter went out and wept bitterly.”
What was Peter’s expectation of himself and of Jesus? He had boldly promised that he would go to prison with Jesus, even die with Him—but when the pressure came, he denied Him. Peter's confidence was rooted in his own strength and good intentions, not in the grace of God. His expectation failed—but Jesus did not.
This story reminds us that even when we fall short, God is not finished with us. Peter’s failure wasn’t the end of his story—it was the turning point. Jesus later restored him, and Peter went on to become a pillar of the early Church. Let this be a reminder: your mistakes don't disqualify you. Trust in God’s faithfulness more than your own expectations or performance. He sees the bigger picture and can redeem every moment for His glory. GOD bless share with your family and friends.
