Let Christ Guide Your Words

“Do not speak in the hearing of a fool,

For he will despise the wisdom of your words.”

Proverbs 23:9 (NKJV)

As followers of Christ, we are called to walk in wisdom and allow the Holy Spirit to guide our words. Jesus did not feel the need to answer every accusation, correct every person, or defend Himself before those who had hardened their hearts. There is a time to speak truth in love, and there is also a time to remain silent and trust God. Ask the Lord for discernment so that your words would honor Him rather than become an attempt to win an argument.

Remember that your strength does not come from having the last word. Your strength comes from knowing Christ and trusting Him with the outcome. When someone refuses wisdom, do not allow their response to pull you away from the peace and character Christ has called you to display. Keep your heart humble, your words gracious, and your eyes fixed on Jesus. Let God fight the battles you cannot win with words, and trust Him to use your life as a testimony of His truth, grace, and love. GOD bless, share with your family and friends.
